Plot
Elphaba, a misunderstood young girl because of her green skin, and Glinda, a popular girl, become friends at Shiz University in the Land of Oz. Cynthia Erivo in Wicked and more actors who completely transformed themselves for their roles.
Glinda: Don’t be afraid
The name of the Wicked Witch, Elphaba, was created by taking the phonetic pronunciation of the initials of the original “Wizard of Oz” author, L. Frank Baum, who became Elphaba.
Elphaba: I’m not afraid
It’s the Wizard who should be afraid of me. The Universal Pictures logo has the globe in pink (representing Glinda) and the company name in green (representing Elphaba).
