Absolutely brilliant. The visual contrast between the darkness of Dexter’s secret life and the light of Miami gives it an almost surreal quality. The character development is good, slowly bringing out the background so you can see the development of Dexter’s sociopathic personality and the confusion of human behavior compared to his own.

Dexter is an actor in his own life; the relationships between his colleagues and his private life are well shown through video media. The fact that he is an expert in gore is a dark work, but set in the bizarre world of life in Miami, it is almost believable.
