When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel , and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford on the show, Segel said that Goldstein originally wanted a “Harrison Ford type” and was going to audition with people like Ford. Segel told Goldstein that they had to at least bring it up to Ford first, thinking he would immediately turn it down, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford was being brought on for the project, which sparked interest from other notable actors.
The acting was amazing
Eventually, Goldstein spoke to Ford and sold him on the role. Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince him, but he was excited nonetheless. Featured on WatchMojo: Top 10 TV Shows of 2023 (So Far) (2023). This was a solid production and a very unique story.
Is it perfect?
I love how each character embraces their imperfections and shows their vulnerability and uses humor to create spiritual growth. There are a lot of heartfelt moments, awkward moments, mildly funny cute moments, and laugh-out-loud moments in Shrinking. I hope they continue to make more seasons of this because the character development justifies it. No.
But none of us are
I feel like the overuse of swearing takes away from the overall power potential here. It’s almost like the writers are trying to make the show feel exciting. I personally don’t think it needed to. That’s why I gave it an 8.
