Plot
Sheryl Bradshaw, a single woman looking for a suitor on the popular 1970s TV show, chooses charming bachelor Rodney Alcala, unaware that behind the man’s suave facade lies a deadly secret. Sheryl’s comment about breasts was “literally taken from something that happened to me when I was 19.” Quoted in CTV News in Six Toronto: September 8, 2023 episode (2023).
This is a good movie, not great, but Anna Kendrick did a great job in her directorial debut
Woman of the Hour follows the story of serial killer Rodney Alcala along with his appearance on The Dating Game. If you’re like me, I didn’t know anything about this story before I saw the movie, so it was very interesting.
I really like what he did with this movie, but I felt like something was missing
Apart from a few scenes, it lacks the tension that could make it a truly excellent thriller. Anyway, this is a solid movie that I would recommend watching once and I hope we see more of Anna Kendrick’s direction in the future!.
